Post-production professionals at NAB will want to check out
Adobe’s booth in the south hall to see the latest developments in a number of
products, including Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium, Flash Media
Server, Flash Player, and Adobe Media Player. During the NAB show Adobe will
introduce the new Adobe Media Player software and profile their postproduction
solution Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium in their booth.
Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium is Adobe’s
integrated post-production solution for video, audio, graphics and Web
publishing. “Adobe’s Creative Suite 3 Production Premium capture-to-delivery
workflow makes it easier for broadcasters to create and distribute dynamic
content across virtually every medium,” says John Loiacono, senior vice
president of Creative Solutions at Adobe.
The new Adobe Media Player software, expected to be
available in early 2008, brings new options to viewers and revenue-building
opportunities to anyone who creates media content. Broadcasters can deliver
streaming or downloadable video via a customizable, cross-platform player that
lets you measure viewership and build revenue with advertising. Benefits
include integrated branding architecture, measurement of key usage data and
content protection.
Also at NAB is the Adobe Flash Media Rights Management
Server. The server protects and controls video content even after it has been
downloaded. Adobe Flash Media Rights Management Server protects Adobe Flash or
MPEG-4 video investment throughout its lifetime by setting detailed parameters
that determine how and when content is viewed, and who can view it.
Regarding other Adobe video product software, Adobe Premiere
Pro incorporates Panasonic P2 technology. Adobe Premiere Pro handles all major
HD camera formats natively, so broadcasters can turn it around quickly. Adobe
also has 5.1 Surround Sound audio mixing incorporated into Adobe Premiere Pro.
“Our professional video products will integrate file-based
camera formats, such as Panasonic P2, that are rapidly replacing tape in the
broadcast and post-production workflow because of the speed, capacity and
efficiency that allow editors to deliver projects faster,” says Jim Guerard,
vice president of Dynamic Media at Adobe.
Adobe has also seen a ton of growth in streaming and their
product Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server software, enables users to stream
protected, high-quality video on the web and onto to mobile devices.
