IBM Booth: SU3614
Thomson Booth: SL106
Thomson has collaborated with IBM and the International
Standard Audiovisual Number International Agency (ISAN-IA). Thomson and IBM
will both showcase demonstrations of Thomson’s integrated content tracking and
security solutions during the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show
from April 14-17, 2008 in
Las Vegas.
Thomson’s NexGuard solution provides a valuable watermarking
security layer to the IBM Media Hub Solution Framework to enable efficient
tracking of shared content. Digital workflow relying on Media Hub can now
easily incorporate a watermarking step for multiple video file formats to
generate uniquely identified copies.
The IBM Media Hub Solution Framework is IBM's services
oriented architecture (SOA)-based solution for the media and entertainment
industry that is designed to manage the increasing complexity of running a
content-focused business from the point of creation to the distribution of
digital content. The addition of watermarking expands possibilities for the way
large and medium enterprises can share and distribute digital content securely.
Thomson is partnering with ISAN-IA to make
standardized audiovisual codification available in Thomson’s digital
watermarking and fingerprinting solutions. Content detection information from
Thomson can now interface with ISAN metadata and be reported with ISAN identification.
The ISAN is a voluntary numbering system for the
identification of audiovisual content, and is recommended as the media content
identifier of choice for producers, broadcasters, internet media providers, and
video games publishers who need to encode, track, and distribute video in a
variety of formats. It provides a unique, internationally recognized, and
permanent reference number with standardized related metadata for each
audiovisual work registered in the central ISAN database. More information
about ISAN-IA can be found at, www.isan.org.
Designed to serve the media, entertainment and communication
industries, Thomson’s NexGuard and NexTracker solutions provide ways to mark
and track copyrighted content, and to filter illegally used content. Thomson
offers the most wide-ranging line of products to track and secure digital
audiovisual content throughout production, post-production, distribution and
exhibition.
