CBS TD Patterson dies

Norm Patterson, CBS Sports technical director, died last Monday night of an apparent heart attack while at the University City hotel in San Diego. Patterson, 45, was a CBS TD for golf and football telecasts for the past decade. He is survived by his wife Sharon and two daughters, Tiffany and Rebekah.

“We’re like a family; we spend so much time together,” Lance Barrow, CBS’ coordinating producer for golf told the San Diego Union-Tribune. “This is a slap in the face. It’s a hard way to get started.”
