In an interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune following last weekend’s Buick Open (which was not shown in HD), Lance Barrow, coordinating producer of CBS Sports golf coverage, said all network golf telecasts would be in HD beginning in 2007. We’ve done the Masters the last few years in HD, Barrow said. I’ve always said they made HDTV for golf. It will be like sitting right there on the golf course watching it. One thing about golf is we have not been able to show the contours of the course. You’re able to see all of that (with HDTV).
