Daktronics Scoreboard added to Kansas ball field

The University of Kansas Athletics Department recently chose ProStar technology, from Daktronics, for their new integrated scoring and video display system for the home of Jayhawks baseball Hoglund ballpark.

The ProStar VideoPlus display, measures approximately 16 feet high by 28 feet wide with full color pixels (picture elements) on 23 millimeter (.90 inch) spacing. ProStar technology uses the latest in red, green and blue (RGB) light emitting diode (LED) technology to present live and recorded video images, colorful animation and vivid graphics with incredible brightness and wide-angle visibility.

Daktronics says ProStar technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power consumption. The Venus 7000 controller and the V-Link video processor provide the power and flexibility to ProStar technology be a success.

Combined, these components provide the capabilities to show live and recorded video, graphics, and animation.
