Professional Wireless names Carl Cordes GM

Carl Cordes, a veteran RF expert with extensive high-profile sports, broadcasting, governmental and news credits, has been named General Manager of Orlando, Fla.-based Professional Wireless Systems.
In welcoming Cordes to his new post, Geoff Shearing, co-principal of PWS parent-company Masque Sound remarked, Carl Cordes has accrued some of the most impressive credentials I ve seen in this industry.
He served nine years as Presidential Audio Director with the White House Communications Agency under Presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. As a U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, he traveled the world to insure the highest quality sound reinforcement, media feeds, and archival recordings for countless presidential events. We are extremely pleased to have him head our PWS team.
Cordes has worked with PWS-founder James Stoffo on Super Bowl broadcasts and he was responsible for multi-venue audio systems for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He spent the past nine years with Systems Wireless Ltd., as an RF and audio consultant for broadcast and cable shows, concert tours and other high profile events.
Commenting on his new position, Cordes remarked, My long-term working relationship with James Stoffo made me fully aware of the high industry regard for PWS professionalism. Beyond their Super Bowl credits, they ve handled RF for a client base that runs the gamut from Disney to General Motors. Professional Wireless Systems has also pioneered the development of innovative technology. Our Helical Antenna and GX-8 Amplifier/Combiner make valuable contributions to many large-scale events, and our R&D group is constantly working to improve existing models and develop meaningful new innovations. My goal is to maintain the same high level of support our clients have come to expect from PWS and to continue to grow the company.
