Missouri Valley Conference taps XOS

The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Web site (http://www.mvc-sports.com/) will launch with an enhanced interactive media platform made possible through a partnership with XOS Technologies. Official launch is scheduled for July 1.

XOS enables us to provide a wide variety of interactive fan services across multiple platforms while using the Web as a central hub, said Mike Kern, MVC s Associate Commissioner for Communications. Now we re able to provide online content rich in high-quality, streaming video and audio that our fans can truly appreciate. The best part about partnering with XOS to upgrade and re-launch our site is that they not only laid the foundation for it, but they also support us every step of the way with their technology and business expertise. It makes the entire process more efficient and convenient for our fans and for us.

Through its partnership, XOS provided the MVC with a customized online platform including Web publishing, e-commerce and event registration services. Underlying all these services is a single, integrated database that gives fans a single login for everything they do on the Web site and gives the MVC access to comprehensive profiles of user activities, enabling it to better serve its fans.
In addition to enabling the Conference to publish news and information about its athletics teams, the site also allows fans to view live statistics, purchase official team merchandise, participate in online auctions, register for events and subscribe to streaming video and audio for games, highlights, press conferences and other exclusive features. The MVC will also be able to take advantage of XOS Network partnerships, gaining additional content and distribution through media partners such as Google and ESPN.com.

There is a fine line between offering fans team information and offering fans an unrivaled online sports experience, said Nada Usina, XOS Network President. The MVC recognizes this and we re especially pleased that it not only took the leap across that line, but that it enlisted our expertise in launching its new, more engaging Web site and having the vision to utilize the capabilities of XOS Technologies to meet its objectives.
