AT&T Broadband Video behind scenes with NFL Stars
Story Highlights
AT&T Inc. is turning the spotlight on a new roster of
top athletes as part of AT&T Home Turf, a streaming webisodes series
available at http://www.attblueroom.com/sports. The high-energy, interactive
campaign gives fans up-close and personal access to the impressive digs, quirky
interests, and high-tech lifestyles of some of the biggest draws in professional
sports, along with candid bonus interviews and trivia tidbits.
Legendary,
extroverted Deion Sanders resumes hosting duties for the upcoming round of
releases. The releases will feature footballer players LaDainian Tomlinson, Roy
Williams, AJ Hawk and Vince Young; golfer Camilo Villegas; and versatile Deion
Sanders himself.
Consumers have
watched more than 1 million webisodes since the series launched in March of
this year.
“It takes
out-of-the-box thinking to engage today’s customers, and AT&T Home Turf
provides a creative platform that really resonates and sets AT&T apart,”
said Eric Fernandez, executive directory-AT&T Sponsorship and Events.
“The campaign gives us an opportunity to deliver exclusive broadband
content — in this case, sports-related video — while bringing to life the
ways in which our products and services (such as high speed Internet) keep our
customers connected to their favorite people and interests.”
The new set of
athletes adds to a broad mix of pro basketball, baseball, soccer and tennis
players featured to date, including Jermaine O’Neal; Elton Brand; Chauncey
Billups; Tony Parker (with pals Tim Duncan, Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry and David
Robinson); Kenny Smith (who doubled as host); David Ortiz; Derrek Lee; Landon
Donovan; Albert Pujols; Nomar Garciaparra (with his wife, Mia Hamm); and Andy
Roddick.
Visitors to the website

factoids. Refer a friend to the site to unlock bonus footage, to download

and services as AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet, Cingular Wireless, and

Consumers
interested in amping up the technology in their own pads also have the chance
to win Dell Computer laptops, Motorola RAZR phones from Cingular, digital
cameras, iPods, and PocketDISH players, which allow subscribers to download
satellite TV programming to a portable player with LCD screen for on-the-go
viewing. In addition, fans can snag autographed sports gear, such as jerseys,
hats, baseballs and footballs.
The AT&T Home
Turf program has been supported with a mass media campaign that has included
spots on national cable channels, national print inserts in leading sports
magazines, local newspaper, and TV and online advertising placements.
