Sennheiser offers up RF, studio seminars in DC

Sennheiser has two audio seminars lined up in Washington, DC next week. The company, in conjunction with Live Sound Magazine and Recording Magazine, says the seminars will help audio professionals cut through the clutter of information and “half-baked theories.”

The Sennheiser Studio Seminar will take place on December 5, 2006 at the XM Satellite Radio Performance Studio in Washington D.C. from 11am to 5pm. Industry veteran Mike Pappas, an authority on 5.1 surround and the requisite engineering practices and microphone techniques that it requires, will lead the event. He has done live sound for more than 1,500 sporting events, logged over 500 hours of live concert 5.1 surround HD radio broadcasts.

As for the RF event, it will be organized by wireless leader Sennheiser and Live Sound Magazine and led by veteran Sennheiser RF engineers Volker Schmitt and Joe Ciaudelli and is scheduled for December 6 at the Renaissance Washington Hotel in Washington D.C. from 10am to 5pm. Between them, Schmitt and Ciaudelli have over 21 years of RF experience that ranges from the creation of the 3000 and 5000 Series Sennheiser wireless products to frequency coordination for Broadway productions, major theme parks, and broadcast networks. They understand wireless systems from their basic physics to their practical application with a clarity that separates the half-baked theories from the real ones.

Participants will interact with Schmitt and Ciaudelli in an intimate environment to learn and ask questions about using multi-channel RF systems in challenging environments, troubleshooting, impacts of the new FCC policies, basic RF technology, and more. The $49 registration fee includes lunch, the seminar, and complimentary giveaways.
