XOS taps Microsoft’s Matlock to oversee Community sites

XOS Technologies has added former Microsoft “evangelist” Kim Matlock as its vice president of Community where she will provide strategic direction for the development, growth and marketing of UltraFan (www.UltraFan.com) and College Sports Direct (www.collegesportsdirect.com)

Ultra Fan is an online sports networking community launched in beta mode by XOS Technologies in late 2006 and College Sports Direct (www.collegesportsdirect.com) is the XOS-hosted online sports video Web guide. In addition, Matlock will lead her team in the pursuit of new opportunities to strengthen both brands through strategic partnerships.

“Kim has excellent credentials and a proven track record of success while at Microsoft,” said Nada Usina, XOS Network president. “She joins us with big plans to enhance our UltraFan and College Sports Direct offerings so that our partners’ fans can enjoy unrivaled resources for all of their sports video and fan community needs.”

Prior to joining XOS, Matlock spent six years at Microsoft as the U.S. East Region Developer Evangelism manager for the Developer and Platform Evangelism group. This group was responsible for growing and fostering Microsoft’s developer community. She also served as the company’s Gulf States District business development manager and application platform solution specialist. In addition, Matlock spent 17 years developing applications for several large financial software companies.

Matlock resides in Orlando, Fla. and actively promotes science and engineering education throughout the state’s school systems. In addition, she is a board member of the Industry Advisory Council for Florida State University’s College of Business.
