WAPO: Tech Firms push to use TV airwaves for Internet

The Washington Post today ran an article
that once again makes the White Spaces threat clear to the broadcast
industry. The question is will the networks and production companies
who rely on White Space spectrum for their livelihoods (and profits)
wake up in time to defeat the likes of Google, Microsoft, and HP? Along
with Intel, Dell, and Philips the companies today are giving FCC
officials a prototype device, built by Microsoft, that will now be
tested.
