FSN North relaunched as FSN Wisconsin

FSN North, dedicated to the Wisconsin market, which features 125 Brewers games and 70 Bucks games, will be re-launched as FSN Wisconsin on April 1. The new network is an effort by FSN to more closely reflect the Wisconsin market and the interests of its viewers. FSN Wisconsin becomes the 19th regional sports network in the Fox Sports Net family.

“With our extensive local programming lineup that includes the Brewers, Bucks, WIAA, and WIAC, re-launching the local network as FSN Wisconsin was a logical move,” said FSN Wisconsin and FSN North vice president and general manager Mike Dimond. “FSN Wisconsin will give us more instant name recognition as we continue to provide our viewers with the best local sports programming available.”

In 2007, FSN Wisconsin will air more than 620 hours of original Milwaukee Brewers programming, including 125 Brewers games with Brewers Live pre- and postgame half-hour shows, Brewers Classic Games, and other specials like In My Own Words with Bill Hall, which airs following the Brewers opener on April 2.

FSN Wisconsin also is the exclusive home of the Milwaukee Bucks, airing 70 games, as well as Bucks Live pre- and postgame shows.

One of the first steps for the new network was to promote John Walsh to coordinating producer. Walsh will assist FSN Wisconsin executive producer Jeff Byle in overseeing all aspects of production for the network. John previously was the main producer for Brewers and Bucks games. He will continue those duties on a more limited basis.

The FSN Wisconsin sales staff also has moved into the network’s downtown Milwaukee production facility. Laurie Perrigo was promoted to FSN Wisconsin’s local sales manager and will direct the four-person team.
