Mark Gray named president of SAMMA Systems

Jim Lindner, Founder and Chairman of SAMMA Systems, today announced the appointment of Mark Gray as President. Gray, a well-respected industry icon, joins SAMMA Systems with over 35 years experience managing public and private companies in video software and hardware manufacturing.

SAMMA Systems, a division of Media Matters, LLC., manufactures products
for automated migration of videotapes into the digital server
environment. The flagship product, SAMMA (System for the Automated
Migration of Media Assets) includes robotic tape handling, multiple
simultaneous migration streams with closed loop process control to
allow tapes to be migrated in a totally unattended fashion.

Gray’s career includes a successful tenure with Kasenna where he served as Chairman, President and CEO from 2000-2006. Prior to Kasenna, he served as Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Pluto Technologies from 1995-2000. Prior positions include Chairman, President and CEO of Chyron Corporation, a publicly traded corporation listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and several senior executive positions at Sony Corporation of America, including President of Sony Communications Products Company. Gray also served as Chief Operating Officer of Pinnacle Systems Inc., General Manager of the Studio Products Division of Ampex Corporation, and executive positions with the Harris Corporation and Tektronix, Inc.

Gray serves on the boards of directors of several companies including EGT, Telco Television Corporation, Giant Studios, and two Silicon Valley start-ups.

Mr. Gray holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Arts Degree in Communication from St. Louis University, and is a graduate of the School of Executive Development of the Babson College graduate school of business.
