Echolab at NAB

Echolab
will provide a sneak peek at the new Ovation MD (multi-definition) HD-ready
switcher. Echolab’s Ovation MD 4000 Series is designed to be extensible and powerful
for fast-paced live video productions. Ovation MD will help ease the transition
to HD video production while supporting SD video formats. Like all Echolab switchers,
each switcher in the Ovation product line will provide full-function keyers on
each M/E, downstream keyers, and flexible opportunities for partner product
control. With the ability to store images and load them into frame buffers with
alpha channel support, users can bring lower-thirds and full-screen graphics to
life.

Echolab will also demonstrate a remote control panel ideally suited and certified
for use with Echolab’s Opera series of broadcast-quality video production switchers.
The Remote AUX Panel uses TCP/IP to communicate with an Echolab Opera switcher
to modify the sources assigned to a particular auxiliary output. The Remote AUX
Panel allows simple cuts from source to source from any location with an
Ethernet connection back to the switcher and can be used to control the sources
that are routed to large video screens or projectors, which can be vital
components in the overall live video production process.

Pixel Power and Echolab will announce a combined solution that allows switcher
operators to control the graphics and clip playback from the switcher to
simplify video production and provide flexibility in live video production. The
functionality of Pixel Power’s Clarity 300 will be controlled from the Echolab
Opera 3416 switcher in the new fully integrated solution.

Echolab can be found
in Booth N2926 at NAB 2007.
