Miranda launches JAZZ-800 single/dual channel, Up/Down/Cross/Standards converter in 1RU

Miranda
Technologies has launched the JAZZ-800 single/dual channel, Universal Signal
Processor at NAB. It offers Up/Down/Cross/Standards conversion plus A to D / D
to A; all in 1RU. JAZZ-800 is ideal for conversion in dynamic signal
environments where multiple signal types are present, such as mobile trucks and network feed
centers.

The JAZZ-800 Universal Signal Processor is available in three core configurations:
single channel, one and a half channel (single input, dual independent
outputs), and dual independent channels. A range of options include logo
insertion, a DVI-I output, and Dolby E decoding.

The built-in HD/SD linear standards conversion simplifies signal processing in
mixed format environments. For instance, it can be used in a typical network
feed center for converting HD-SDI from 1080i 50 Hz to 1080i 59.94 Hz.

JAZZ-800 provides high quality conversion using pixel motion de-interlacing,
and it also offers HD/SD motion adaptive noise reduction. The direct access of
the proc-amp provides fast adjustment of the video signal.

It provides flexible aspect ratio conversion using the common presets, as well
as non-linear anamorphic conversion, with control by AFD, WSS, and VLI.

The integral audio processing can operate with 8 AES pairs, 16 channels of
embedded audio and 8 Analog audio channels, and it can also perform track
shuffling.

A local control panel features an easy to use menu, as well as an integral
video monitoring capability. The JAZZ-800 can also be controlled over
automation by RS232/422, and by Miranda’s iControl SNMP-based signal and
facility monitoring system.
