2007 NFL Draft Live on TSN, this Saturday

TSN
introduces Canadians to the future stars of the NFL with live coverage of the
2007 NFL Draft from
Radio
City
Music Hall in

New
York, this Saturday (April 28) beginning at 12 noon
ET. Additional live coverage from Day 1 of the
NFL Draft will be available on the TSN alternate feed from 6
p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on Saturday evening.

TSN.ca
also has extensive coverage of the
2007
NFL Draft, providing pick-by-pick coverage of the first round on the
site’s NFL page. Following the first round, all picks will be posted as
each round concludes. Football fans looking to get a jump-start on the
weekend’s festivities can go to TSN.ca for a full draft preview, including a
mock draft and a synopsis of what each team’s needs are heading into the
Draft.

ESPN’s
Chris Berman will host Saturday’s TV coverage alongside Mel Kiper Jr. and
analysts Chris Mortensen and Steve Young. The foursome will be joined on
set by Carolina Panthers’ wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, who will provide
additional analysis, while
Monday
Night Football personalities Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski and Tony
Kornheiser provide commentary. Suzy Kolber will interview draftees and
other special guests.

Kansas
running back Jon Cornish is
expected to be the first Canadian taken in this year’s draft. The
New Westminster, B.C. native set a single-season rushing
record at

Kansas
last season with 1,457 yards and is expected to be a late-round pick.

While the
Oakland Raiders are expected to take LSU Quarterback JaMarcus Russell as the
No. 1 pick this year, there is no definitive order for how the rest of the
afternoon will unfold. The
2007
NFL Draft boasts an extremely talented crop of young talent, with Notre
Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson, George
Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson and offensive tackle Joe Thomas of Wisconsin
(in no particular order) expected to round out the Top 5.

TSN will
televise 42 NFL games this season, beginning with the season opener between

New Orleans and the
defending Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts on September 6. All
games will be available in High Definition on TSN HD. The network’s
schedule will once again feature the immensely popular
Sunday Night Football and
Monday
Night Football, giving viewers back-to-back nights of NFL action all
season long.
