WCSN launches Olympic section

World Championship Sports Network (WCSN), the premier destination for fans of Olympic and lifestyle sports, unveiled today a new Olympics section on its newly enhanced website. Fans can visit www.wcsn.com/olympics for all Olympic related items showcasing breaking news on competitors, updated photo galleries, and other special features as the world prepares for the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, the July announcement of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games host city and beyond.

WCSN.com kicks off its comprehensive coverage of Olympics news with special features from SportAccord, the annual international sports convention bringing together representatives from all aspects in the world of sport. WCSN.com will have exclusive interviews and editorial content from the convention in Beijing, ending on April 27. WCSN Chairman and CEO Claude Ruibal will offer a daily blog to report on the key issues being discussed and developments from host and bidding cities, broadcast groups, international federations and more. The new section will also spotlight Chicago as the city readies its international campaign following the United States Olympic Committee’s official nomination of the city to host the 2016 Olympic Games.

“We’re excited to launch the Olympics Section to create further awareness and excitement around the competitors as they prepare for Beijing,” said WCSN chairman Claude Ruibal. “We’re committed to continually improving our depth of content and are confident that WCSN can be a premier resource on these sports. This was confirmed to us by the strong viewer interest we had when we broadcast live the USOC announcement of their selection for the U.S. bid city for the 2016 Olympic Games. We had thousands of viewers from all around the world watch the live stream on WCSN.com.”

On WCSN.com, fans can follow their favorite athletes and sports in preparation for the 2008 Summer Games. In addition to access to breaking news, results, photo galleries, and behind-the-scenes features, WCSN.com offers additional hours of exclusive live and on-demand coverage available on its broadband site. Broadcast schedules of all events can be found at WCSN.com.
