Michael Waltrip Racing taps XOS for Web site support

XOS Technologies motorsports partner Michael Waltrip Racing has integrated a 360 technology solution, including XOS platforms specifically for pit-crew efficiency as well as fan-facing resources. “We’re starting to see a greater emphasis on advanced technology in the motorsports industry and it’s important that we find the right solutions to give us that extra edge,” said Michael Waltrip, team owner. “XOS has a proven track record of successful clients in every sports league. They also pioneered a video-editing solution specifically for racing which we’re eager to use in our pits. On April 30, XOS Network, a business unit of XOS Technologies, launched Waltrip’s official Web site, www.michaelwaltrip.com. The site serves all customer groups, with a splash page that links to the corporate site, a fan site and a Raceworld USA site.

The site also serves as a central hub for various interactive fan features including a photo gallery, an online store (coming mid-summer), virtual tours of Raceworld USA (coming soon) and “Mikey Members” premium video content (coming soon).

In addition, XOS Facilities Design & Integration, a business unit of XOS Technologies, outfitted Waltrip’s new interactive race shop, Raceworld USA, with “One Up” technology – a custom facility design service.

One Up services combine environmental design, the latest video-display technology and visual storytelling to create immersive experiences that entertain and inspire fans and team members. XOS kicked off its role with the project by integrating technology features in the grand entrance.

Down in the pits, XOS implemented a video editing solution customized specifically for motorsports. The XOS Pit Coach Station enables Waltrip’s pit crew to digitally record pit stop action, archive footage and analyze real-time data to enhance performance.
