Astros announce Hildreth new senior vice president of premium sponsorships, Lucas to oversee broadcasting

The
Houston Astros announced that Jamie Hildreth has been named senior vice
president of premium sponsorships. Hildreth will celebrate his 20-year
anniversary with the club in July. Hildreth previously served as vice president
of sales and broadcasting for the Astros, and he will assume the newly created
role that will focus on the Astros premium customers.

“I am
excited about the challenge,” said Hildreth. “Selling is more than
signing a contract. It is about developing a business relationship and
continuing that relationship over many years. Now we can place a greater focus
on customer service for our clients and create a positive environment that our
partnerships can thrive in. ”

Additionally,
Astros Vice President of Business Development John Sorrentino was named vice
president of sponsorship sales. Sorrentino will work with current partnerships
as well as developing new business for the Astros. A 21-year veteran with the
Houston Astros, Sorrentino looks to develop new business for the club
immediately.

“We
have valuable partners both past and present,” said Sorrentino.
“We’re looking to grow and expand in this department right away. Moving
into this new role gives me the opportunity to cultivate new business, which in
turn will develop into success on the field and increase fan enjoyment.”

Senior
Vice President of Communications Jay Lucas will assume all Astros broadcasting
elements, both in radio and television. Lucas, currently in his 15th season in
professional baseball and his fourth season in his current role with the
Astros, also oversees the media relations, marketing, community development,
special events and market development departments.

In another
announcement, Jayme Lamm has been appointed as the new Astros marketing
coordinator. As human resources coordinator, she coordinated all intern and
full-time recruitment while also managing the Astros employee newsletter and the
United Way Campaign. Lamm assumed her new role on May 14.
