Chicago Cubs partner with Hoy and Telemundo Chicago for exclusive player interviews en Espanol

The
Chicago Cubs and loscubs.com are proud to announce a partnership with Hoy,
Chicago’s only Spanish-language daily newspaper, and
Telemundo Chicago to bring exclusive player interviews to

Chicago’s Spanish-speaking Cubs fans.

The
series, “Conoce a Tus Cubs” or “Get to know your Cubs,”
began the week of April 30th and will run through the end of the season.
Telemundo newscasts will air weekly interview segments on Wednesday while Hoy
will offer further in-depth coverage in its Thursday interview series. Video
playback will be available on the Chicago Cubs new Spanish language website,
www.loscubs.com.

“Following
the launch of www.loscubs.com, partnering with two of

Chicago’s most influential Spanish-language
media outlets furthers our efforts to reach this vital community of Cubs
followers,” said Jay Blunk, director of marketing for the Chicago Cubs.

The series
began with an interview of Cubs rookie outfielder Felix Pie and will continue
throughout the summer with interviews focusing on the athletes’ interests away
from the playing field.

“This
unique content-sharing opportunity allows us to feed the insatiable appetite
Chicago’s Spanish-speaking baseball fans have for more information about their
favorite players,” said Julian Posada, general manager/Hoy.

“Telemundo
relishes this opportunity to enhance our sports coverage,” added Ed
Fernandez, VP/General Manager of Telemundo Chicago. “We are looking
forward to getting to know the Cubs and showcasing them to their devoted fans.”
