NBA Looks To Grow UK Fan Base

The NBA
have offered a fresh sign of support for British basketball with the
announcement they are to open a new office in

London this summer.

The
world’s leading basketball league will work closely with the British Olympic
Association as the

Great
Britain basketball program works towards
qualification for the 2012 London Olympics.

The office
will also help to grow the NBA’s fan base in the

UK
and

Europe.

The
announcement was made today in

New
York, where London Mayor Ken Livingstone visited NBA
headquarters to meet with league commissioner David Stern.

London is a magnificent city and the meeting with Mayor
Livingstone today was beneficial in the planning for the future of the NBA and
the growth of basketball in
