RCN Renews Partnership with Georgetown University

RCN Corporation
, a provider of video, data, and voice services to residential and business
customers, announced today that it has renewed its official partnership with
Georgetown University’s Athletics Program.

“We are
proud to continue for the third year our support of

Georgetown’s football, lacrosse and
basketball teams,” said RCN President & CEO Peter Aquino. “Like the Hoyas,
RCN sets a high standard for performance so we are indeed proud to support this
highly successful athletics program.”

As part of
the sponsorship, RCN will have signage prominently displayed at

Georgetown

University home sporting events
including football and men’s and women’s basketball and lacrosse games. In
addition, RCN was an official sponsor of the recent gala tribute honoring the
100 year anniversary of

Georgetown
basketball.

“We
appreciate RCN’s continued interest in the Hoyas athletics program,” Georgetown
University Director of Athletics Bernard Muir said. “This is a tremendous
partnership for us and it provides great exposure for our teams wearing the
Blue and Gray. We’re very pleased that we can continue this special
relationship with RCN.”

In
addition to Georgetown University Athletics, RCN has recently announced
partnerships with the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, the D.C. United soccer team and
the

Patriot

Center
at

George

Mason

University.

“While
these partnerships allow us to showcase RCN at D.C. United soccer games, the
Kettler Capitals Iceplex, Georgetown basketball games and at more than 140
Patriot Center concerts, community events and George Mason basketball games, it
more importantly allows us to support and promote local sports and
entertainment,” said RCN Senior Vice President, Strategic & External
Affairs Richard Ramlall. “As the first company to compete against the incumbent
telephone and cable companies in this area and the first to offer the triple
play of video, high-speed data and voice, we champion competition in sports,
entertainment and business.”
