Consultedge Equips Prudential Center

Consultedge, is creating the voice and data communications systems for Newark,
New Jersey’s Prudential Center, the metropolitan area’s first new major sports
facility in more than 25 years. The 17,625 seat facility is a multi-purpose
entertainment and sports arena. Developed by Devils Renaissance Development,
LLC,

Center will be home to the National
Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils.

The voice and data solutions for

Prudential

Center will support a
call center, press facilities with 100 endpoints, Internet Protocol (IP)
telephony, and secure 1 Gb and 10 Gb links to support a 40 MEG pipeline to the
Internet.

The communications system integrates technologies from Avaya, Extreme Networks,
and Juniper Networks into a comprehensive voice and data solution. Among the
technologies are Avaya’s 8720 Server, Modular Messaging, SIP server, and
expanded Meet-Me Conferencing. The Juniper Networks Secure Access Firewall and
the Extreme Networks Black Diamond Core switch will enable the arena to support
high bandwidth applications while securing the network from outside intrusion.

The new arena is scheduled to open in October 2007.
