AllSportsTec intros new motion analysis tool

AllSportsTec, Inc. today announced a new release of its MotionView
video analysis software, adding increased depth to the companys popular
series of sports video training products for all sports. According
to company spokeswoman Catherine Osborne, MotionView is designed for
coaches and players of any sport, including golf, bowling, tennis,
baseball, softball, skiing, dance, gymnastics, etc. The MotionView
video analysis software helps coaches to analyze and improve the
physical mechanics of atheletes by means of low cost video capture and
playback, side by side video comparison, numerous drawing tools and
video presentation features, with a simple user interface. The visual
feedback created by this software is impressive, and is proving to be a
powerful teaching aid for over 2,000 users worldwide.

One of the
interesting new tools is a time-shifting feature called Rear View
Mirror. This allows the coach or student to continuously observe any
athletic motion after a fixed time delay has been applied to the video.
It makes for easy, hands-free coaching of any sport, since the athelete
can perform the action, then observe it immediately afterward.

The
company offers multiple editions, from a single camera “Lite Edition”
($19.99) up to a “Digital VCR Edition” which is capable of capturing
from 2 cameras simultaneously and creating video lessons on CDROM
($299.99). There are 3 intermediate editions available as well. All
editions are available either by download or on CDROM.

These
prices are a long shot from the typical cost of similar software
products selling for more than $1000.00. Internet download makes the
software instantly available, and a free trial is offered on their
website. The company boasts that their software will work with any
video capture hardware, from webcams to digital stillshot cameras to
firewire capable digital cameras.

The company is actively pursuing reseller relationships.
