Texas State University to Upgrade Athletic Facilities across campus with Daktronics

chosen Daktronics to design, manufacture and install state-of-the-art scoring
and video equipment for several athletic facilities on campus. The football
scoreboard is scheduled to be installed and ready for the Bobcats’ home opening
game vs. Cal Poly September 1.

“We are very excited about this project and can’t wait to get
started,” said Texas State Director of Athletics Larry Teis. “This
will take the Bobcat game experience to a new and better level for our
fans.”

a new scoreboard featuring custom scoring elements, Daktronics proven ProStar
video display technology and ProAd digital displays. The new football
scoreboard will measure approximately 40 feet high by 45 feet wide. The video
display in the center of the scoreboard will measure approximately 15 feet high
by 25 feet wide.

Fans entering Strahan Coliseum for Bobcat basketball will be greeted with a
custom endwall display featuring ProStar video display technology as well. A
centerhung scoreboard will keep fans, athletes and officials up-to-date with
important game information.

Bobcat baseball and softball will see upgrades to both their fields with
state-of-the-art scoreboards and video displays.

ProStar VideoPlus technology, HD-ready and available only from Daktronics, uses
the latest in red, green and blue (RGB) light emitting diode (LED) technology
to present live and recorded video images, colorful animation and vivid
graphics with incredible brightness and wide-angle visibility. ProStar
technology offers a long lifetime with minimal maintenance and low power
consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.

Daktronics ProAd digital advertising displays offer complete message
flexibility. These displays can recognize sponsors in a variety of ways.
When not recognizing sponsors, ProAd displays can show game-in-progress
information, team and player stats, full-color animation and cropped video
clips to add entertainment value and raise the crowd’s enthusiasm level.

Marquee displays in front of Strahan Coliseum and on the back of the new
football scoreboard will keep the
