”The Globe 10.0” to Debut on June 26

The Boston
Globe, in partnership with NESN, announced that The Globe 10.0 presented
by Verizon, premiers on Tuesday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m. The show will be hosted
by nationally recognized Boston Globe sports columnist Bob Ryan and will air
every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m. on NESN.

The Globe
10.0 is a fast-paced half-hour that matches Ryan against other top columnists
from the Globe as well as the region’s biggest personalities in spirited debate
about the top 10 issues of the day in

New England
sports. The Globe’s Dan Shaughnessy and Nick Cafardo are slated to appear on
the program during its first week.

Produced
at the NESN HD Television Center in

Watertown,
the show features an innovative virtual 3-D set complete with state-of-the-art
technology that allows for immediate viewer interaction. Ryan will also host a
blog in connection with the show allowing the conversation and the sparks to
continue flying after the show is over.

launch event will be held on Tuesday June 26 at the Cask ‘N Flagon,

Boston, from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. For the first
half-hour, the audience will watch the premiere edition of the Globe 10.0 show
on NESN along with Bob Ryan and Dan Shaughnessy. Then Bob Ryan and Dan Shaughnessy
will take questions from the audience until 7:00 p.m.
