B2 Networks Partners with the International Hockey League Three Year Partnership Begins With 2007-08 Season

The International Hockey League (IHL) signed a three-year agreement with B2 Networks to show every game of the leagues regular and post season on the revolutionary broadband broadcasting network.

“Individual games cost $6, and the price for season packages will be announced at a later date, “said Bruce LeVine, the Senior VP of Sports Programming at B2.

To stream the games via B2, fans of the IHL will need a high-speed internet connection and Window Media Player 9 or higher. The games can be accessed through

www.ihl-hockey.com once the 2007-2008 seasons begins. According to LeVine, the IHL is responsible for producing and supplying video for the games.

The IHL was originally founded in 1991 as the Colonial Hockey League and later changed its name to the United Hockey League (UHL) in 1997.

After this past season, the UHL once again underwent changes, this time focusing to create strong ownership so the fans can count on their clubs remaining in the league for many years. The league is also working on creating a better on-ice product with more excitement and physical play. The 2007-2008 season will be the first for the newly named IHL, as the league looks to continue its growth in success and popularity.

IHL’s partnership with B2 Networks began in 2004, providing fans access to games through a pay-per-view internet broadcast. B2 is widely regarded as an innovative leader in direct to home, mobile and television broadcasting.
