Chyron announces technology partnership with OCTOPUS Newsroom System

Chyron
Corporation has announced a technology partnership with OCTOPUS Newsroom
System. This alliance further expands integration of Chyron’s CAMIO complete news
graphics management solution with the addition of the OCTOPUS Newsroom System
providing journalists unprecedented control over the look and delivery of
newsroom graphics.

The CAMIO graphic management architecture enables a broadcaster’s Graphics
Department to build and upload assets once, and be immediately available to all
output devices as well as newsroom clients. LUCI, CAMIO’s Newsroom Client ActiveX,
enables journalists to remotely browse templates, edit text and replaceable
images and movie files, preview their graphics and insert them into stories directly
from within the OCTOPUS newsroom.

CAMIO manages the distribution of assets ensuring that all assets are available
for air. Playout is simplified with Chyron’s Lyric playlist control, or using
iSQ, Chyron’s Intelligent Sequencer software. The order of graphics for playout
is always synchronised with the OCTOPUS Newsroom Computer System running order
as it changes with floats and edits.

“Following a successful testing period we are very happy to announce this
newsroom integration with Chyron. CAMIO is a sophisticated interface and the
strong Chyron brand compliments the OCTOPUS philosophy of delivering news
anytime, anywhere,” commented Jan Pulpan, CTO of OCTOPUS Newsroom.

“We
are delighted to announce this latest extension to the CAMIO system. The
OCTOPUS Newsroom System is a popular choice across
Europe
and with this integration we look forward to bringing the creative flexibility
and speed to air that CAMIO provides to the OCTOPUS user base”, commented
David Ward, VP and general manager, Chyron EAME.
