ESPN2 to Televise 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game

Baseball and ESPN announced that the 20th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be
televised live on ESPN2 Wednesday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. eastern time. ESPN
baseball analyst and former Triple-A All-Star Eduardo Perez will be joined in
the booth by play-by-play commentator Mark Neely. ESPN Deportes, ESPN’s
Spanish-language network, will also carry the Triple-A All-Star Game live for
the fourth consecutive season.

The 2007 Game,
to be played at Isotopes Park, home of the Pacific Coast League’s Albuquerque
Isotopes, marks the 13th straight season Triple-A Baseball’s mid-summer classic
has been televised live on ESPN2 (The first two Triple-A All-Star Games were
shown on ESPN in 1988-89). Launched in October of 1993, ESPN2 is available in
approximately 94 million homes.

This
year’s Triple-A All-Star Game will be the tenth consecutive showdown in which
teams representing the International League and Pacific Coast League have faced
off in the mid-season event. The PCL leads the series five games to four. The
first ten Triple-A All-Star Games were played in a National League affiliates
versus American League affiliates format.

BIOS

The honor
of calling play-by-play at the Triple-A All-Star Game will go to Mark Neely.
Mark is currently in his 12th season as the voice of the Double-A Tulsa Drillers
of the Texas League. He is a two-time winner of the Tulsa Sportscaster of the
Year Award. Neely has also done play-by-play work on several ESPN telecasts. In
the off-season, Neely serves as the voice of the

Oral
Roberts

University basketball
team.

ESPN’s
Eduardo Perez will serve as an analyst at the Triple-A All-Star Game, marking
his second trip to

Albuquerque
for this event. Perez, a professional baseball player from 1991-2006, played in
544 games at the Triple-A level with
Vancouver,
Indianapolis, and

Memphis
during his career. In 1993 Perez was named a Triple-A All-Star, playing third
base for the American League affiliates in the 6th annual contest which was
held at

Albuquerque’s
Sports Stadium. Eduardo is also a veteran of 13 Major League seasons. His
broadcasting career began last fall when he joined ESPN’s Baseball Tonight to
provide postseason coverage. This season Perez has continued his role as an
analyst on Baseball Tonight and also provided commentary for the 2007 NCAA
Baseball Regionals.
