NBC Sports Broadcasts Live Coverage of U.S. Senior Open

NBC
Sports continues its coverage of the United States Golf Association Championships
with live coverage of the 2007 U.S. Senior Open Saturday and Sunday, 3-6 p.m.
ET from Whistling Straits in

Kohler,

Wis. The field is headlined by
some of the game’s greats, including Tom Kite, Tom Watson, Curtis Strange, Hale
Irwin, Mark O’Meara and Jay Haas, who seek to prevent Allen Doyle from an
unprecedented “three-peat.” Doyle won last year in
Hutchinson,

Kan., and in 2005 in

Kettering,
Ohio.

Watson is looking for his first U.S. Senior Open title, Hale Irwin his third.
The prestigious list of past champions includes Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus,
Lee Trevino and Gary Player.

“I think Doyle has a shot,” said Maltbie. “On this course you
need to keep the ball in play and it rewards a low ball hitter. Doyle fits both
categories. With that swing of his, he gives all 10 handicappers hope.”

Dan Hicks will host NBC’s coverage from the 18th tower joined by tower
reporters Gary Koch and Bob Murphy and on-course reporters Maltbie, Dottie
Pepper and Mark Rolfing. NBC’s coverage is produced by Tom Roy, the most
nominated person in the history of the Sports Emmys.
