Xirrus and MotorSport Vision Ltd Deploy High Performance Wi-Fi Network Across Premier UK Racing Circuits

Xirrus,
Inc., and
MotorSport Vision Ltd announced successful Wi-Fi deployments at multiple
motorsport venues across the
United Kingdom
including Brands Hatch, Snetterton,
Oulton

Park,

Cadwell
Park
and Bedford Autodrome. These locations host some of the most famous racing
events in the world. MotorSport Vision Ltd deployed a high performance Xirrus
Wi-Fi network covering all the high density press and media areas for instant
access to the Internet and media outlets for research and posting of
news-related stories.

In a
network designed by Wireless LAN Source, Xirrus’ pan-European partner,
MotorSport Vision Ltd deployed a highly resilient, manageable Wi-Fi network
across multiple sites, supporting the most demanding users while utilizing
significantly fewer Wi-Fi Arrays than would have been required using older
Wi-Fi architectures.

“MotorSport
Vision Ltd turned to Wireless LAN Source to design a Wi-Fi network that
delivered the most bandwidth using the fewest devices,” said Matthew McGrory,
Group Head of IT at MotorSport Vision Ltd. “Our Wi-Fi network serves a
demanding user community and needs to provide the utmost in reliability and
performance – both Wireless LAN Source and Xirrus delivered on time and within
budget.”

“We
designed a multi-site, fully manageable network including long range point to
point wireless links allowing MotorSport Vision Ltd to have their network up
and running ahead of the busy racing season,” said Ben Wilson, commercial
director at Wireless LAN Source. “Xirrus is becoming the Wi-Fi solution of
choice for a variety of locations throughout the

UK as their Arrays deliver the
needed throughput and coverage using far fewer devices which greatly reduces
installation time and expense.”

“Xirrus
was selected because we provided a cost effective Wi-Fi network delivering the
most bandwidth while using only a handful of devices per racetrack,” said John
DiGiovanni, director of marketing and European sales at Xirrus. “We are honored
to have our products deployed at such legendary sporting locations across the

UK.”

The Xirrus
Wi-Fi Array is comprised of four, eight or 16 radios, a high gain multi-sector
antenna system along with an integrated Array Controller and Wi-Fi Threat
Sensor. This integrated approach greatly increases the amount of aggregate
bandwidth and coverage area of each Array allowing customers to deploy less
devices throughout their locations.
