Denver Broncos: All HD in 2007

By Andrew Lippe

The Denver Broncos have gone high definition. This upcoming season 17 of the Denver Broncos 20 scheduled games (this includes regular and three preseason games) will be broadcast on Denver’s CBS4 (KCNC-4) network in high definition. “This is the first year that we are fully high definition,” said Steve Cox, executive producer and game producer for KCNC Denver. “We did our first HD game two years ago.”

“For the regular season games we work with FSN on game production,” says Cox. FSN helps the network do the hiring of the crew and booking production trucks for the games. “The Colorado Rockies are in HD on their network so they know who to call,” says Cox. The network will produce exclusive Denver Broncos specials throughout the year that will air only on KCNC Denver. Their first original program will air in two weeks. The Broncos open up the preseason Aug. 13 against the San Francisco 49ers. The game will be simulcast on ESPN.
