Comcast SportsNet Garners 15 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award Nominations

SportsNet, was honored with 15 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award Nominations. The awards
recognize excellence in news, programming and individual achievement in
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The nominations were announced last evening at a reception hosted by the
Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Television Academy.
Comcast SportsNet has been awarded 56 Emmys since the network launched in 1997.

entertaining and insightful programming that is enjoyed by our viewers and
recognized by our peers,” said Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia President
Stephanie Smith. “We are thrilled to be nominated for Station Excellence for
the second year in a row. It reflects the impact that sports has on the lives
of people throughout this region.”
Comcast SportsNet’s nightly news program “SportsNite” was also nominated for
an Emmy for the eighth year in a row.

The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, which annually honor excellence in news, programming and individual achievement in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, will be presented September 15 at the Philadelphia Marriott in ceremonies that mark the 25th Anniversary of the regional awards program.
