Barclays Premier League Kicks off on Fox Soccer Channel

Setting
the stage for the network’s most comprehensive coverage of

England’s Barclays Premier League
ever, Fox Soccer Channel announced it will debut two new original
programs this weekend dedicated to the world’s most prestigious soccer league.

“Fox
Soccer Match Day” is a new half-hour live show at 9:30 a.m. ET each Saturday
that will preview the weekend’s soccer action and feature in-depth analysis and
predictions. Then, on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. ET, “Super Sunday +” will provide
viewers with a fast-paced recap of the weekend’s top soccer matches from

England, the

U.S. and around the world.

The
2007/08 Barclays Premier League season will commence on Fox Soccer Channel this
Saturday, August 11, with the premiere of “Fox Soccer Match Day,” at 9:30 a.m.
followed by three exciting opening-day matches: West Ham United vs. Manchester
City at 10 a.m. ET, Aston Villa vs. Liverpool at 12 p.m. and Derby vs.
Portsmouth at 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, Arsenal takes center stage when it hosts
Fulham at 7 a.m. ET, while defending Premier League champion Manchester United
faces

Reading
at 11 a.m.

“We are
excited about the return of the Barclays Premier League to Fox Soccer Channel
and the launch of these two new live studio shows,” said David Sternberg,
executive vice president and general manager of Fox Soccer Channel. “Our
viewers will not only see great soccer match action each Saturday and Sunday
this season, but will get all the previews, recaps and analysis they need to
follow the Premiership in depth.”

“Fox
Soccer Match Day” and “Super Sunday +” will be hosted by Fox Soccer Channel
commentators Christian Miles and Andy Houlihan. Former Queens Park Rangers
standout Gary Richards will join the aforementioned duo to provide expert analysis
during “Super Sunday +” which will feature highlights, interviews, tactical
breakdowns and commentary about the weekend’s world soccer action, with a
particular emphasis on the Premier League, Italy’s Serie A and America’s own
Major League Soccer and United Soccer Leagues.

Fox Soccer
Channel’s on-air coverage of the Barclays Premier League will be complemented
by two new on-line offerings. Free highlights of all Premier League matches and
a selection of full-length contests will be offered on a delayed basis at Fox
