CBS SportsLine.com Becomes CBSSports.com

CBS
SportsLine.com, a internet sports media service and part of CBS Interactive, announced
it has changed its name to CBSSports.com.

“The
ability to bring unity to the CBS Sports brand across all media television- online
and mobile-is something we believe both audiences and advertisers will
appreciate,” said Sean McManus, President, CBS Sports and News. “With
this name change, CBS Sports now stands for much more than its broadcasts of
major sporting events. We now have a direct branding association with
interactive coverage across the entire world of sports for our fans.

“SportsLine
is a terrific property with a strong, dedicated fan base,” said Steve
Snyder, Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive. “This change will allow
the community to continue to thrive as it always has, but with the added, and
more clear connection to the premier sports broadcasting franchise in the
industry.”

“With
the singular tie to the CBS Sports brand, we now have the ability to connect
with more fans than ever, bringing loyal users of the SportsLine service
together with new consumers, whether they are in front of a television, on
their computer or on the go with their mobile device,” said Jason Kint,
Senior Vice President and General Manager of CBSSports.com.

“This
extension across all platforms will give fans the ability to meet and interact
with one another to a greater degree than ever before.”

CBS Sports
has evolved into a multi-platform brand offering premier broadcast, online and
mobile sports content. The change to CBSSports.com gives advertisers the
ability to associate with the CBS Sports brand and reach sports fans no matter
where they are, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

While the
move to CBSSports.com will be marked by increased on-site/on-air integration
with CBS Sports, the site will continue to give the deepest and most
up-to-the-minute coverage of all the major sports in the

United States.

In keeping
with one unified brand for the entire business, CBS SportsLine’s award-winning
fantasy sports products will also reside under CBSSports.com.

“We
are confident our fantasy players will recognize that the service remains the
best in the business and our fantasy sports products will continue to thrive
under the CBSSports.com brand,” said Kint.
