Senators Television Schedule Features 73 Games

The Ottawa
Senators Hockey Club announced
its
73-game television broadcast schedule for the 2007-08 season. The Senators open
this year’s campaign in

Toronto
against the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Oct. 3, which will be broadcast
nationally on TSN. The following night, CBC’s national Hockey Night In Canada
broadcast will carry
Ottawa’s home-opener against

Toronto. CBC’s
regional coverage will then showcase the Senators-New York Rangers match at

Scotiabank Place on
Saturday, Oct. 6.

“The 2007-08 season represents a very strong broadcast schedule for the
Senators,” said Senators vice-president of broadcast, Jim Steel.
“With the exception of eight Saturday and Wednesday games that are
exclusive for national broadcast, only one game was left unselected for
regional or pay-per-view broadcast (10:30pm start in

Los Angeles on March 6th). This is a great benefit
to our fans as our club looks to make this upcoming season our best one
yet.”

Sens TV, the club’s pay-per-view channel, will highlight the broadcast schedule
for a second consecutive season with seven games scheduled from November to
April. Details on Sens TV packages and direct-to-home satellite and cable
providers will be announced at a later date.

The balance of the 66-game broadcast schedule will see 20 games on Sportsnet
Ontario in the Ottawa area (channel 27 on Rogers) and on Sportsnet East (Quebec
and the Atlantic Provinces), 20 games on A-Channel, with Sportsnet East
simulcasting 15 games; 10 games on CBC’s national Hockey Night In Canada and
another 10 on its regional coverage; and six on TSN, with four as its featured
Wednesday Night Game of the Week. The Senators broadcast schedule with RDS will
be announced at a later date.

“The partnership between Sportsnet and the Ottawa Senators organization
allows us to deliver hockey that matters to viewers in the Sportsnet East and

Ottawa markets,” said
Doug Beeforth, President, Rogers Sportsnet. “After the thrilling playoff
run by

Ottawa
last season we are excited to be broadcasting more Senators games than any
other network.”

The Senators return for a seventh consecutive season on A-Channel. The 20-game
package opens on Thursday, Oct. 1, when the Carolina Hurricanes visit

Scotiabank Place.
Sportsnet’s 20-game package begins with a Thanksgiving afternoon game on
Monday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m. against the New Jersey Devils.
