Maria Sharapova crowned as First Fathead Female Athlete

Fathead,
the fast-growing sports and entertainment brand best-known for its life-size
wall graphics, will launch tennis and pop culture phenom Maria Sharapova as the
first female athlete and first tennis player to be produced as a Fathead image.
The “face that has graced a hundred covers” was photographed in a powerful
action shot of her dominating backhand at

Wimbledon.

“I am
thrilled that Fathead has selected me as the very first female Fathead athlete.
I’m looking forward to a great relationship with them. This is very cool,” says
Maria of being photographed in her “Biggest” shot yet.

Sharapova’s
incredible feats include winning

Wimbledon in
only her second appearance. She is the second youngest Wimbledon Champion in
the open era. In 2006, Maria won the US Open defeating the number one and two
seeded players and became the 8th player in history to accomplish the feat in a
Grand Slam. These career milestones are certainly reason enough to be
considered Fathead worthy but she has also appeared on the cover of Sports
Illustrated, Teen Vogue, Vogue Italia, ESPN The Magazine, Forbes, Teen People, W
and featured in People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People”, which made
creating a Fathead likeness of the defending U.S. Open Women’s Champion a
natural choice.

Max
Eisenbud, Vice President of IMG Tennis, says of the association, “We are very
excited about this new relationship between Maria and Fathead. When you are
building an athlete’s brand, it is vitally important to reach those young fans
that are passionate enough to put athletes they admire on the wall.”

Maria has
captured the world’s attention with her athleticism, competitiveness and grace.
She never gave anyone a chance to describe her as “just another pretty face”
because she proceeded to win championships the moment she stepped into the
international spotlight.

“Having
Maria Sharapova as our first female athlete was an easy decision and a perfect
fit,” said Fathead Chief Executive Officer, Brock Weatherup. “She embodies the
beauty of sports as a champion athlete, selfless philanthropist and global
personality recognized the world over for her performance, style and what we
like to call ‘Fattitude’. Maria sets the standard remarkably high for future
female Fathead athletes.”

With Maria
playing at peak performance, she is an inspiration to people of all ages. Young
people now have the ability to bring inspiration into their rooms and have a
reminder that their dreams can be realized. The Maria Sharapova image will be
approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall by 3 feet wide and will include 6 ancillary
items and can be purchased on the company’s Web site, www.fathead.com, or by
calling (877)-FATHEAD, where more than 300 of the best sports and entertainment
images can be found. The Sharapova Fathead will also be available on her
website, www.mariasharapova.com.

A “Fathead”

entertainment stars. Fathead is an especially popular brand among teens and
gift-givers. The 3-D-like, visually-captivating, Fathead product has become the
“must-have” item for home d cor. A special adhesive backing enables them to be
moved from wall to wall, making them a mobile and fun part of any family’s
home-environment, and a designer’s dream wall-graphic. Fathead’s sports product
line also includes NASCAR race cars, NFL and collegiate football helmets, and
collegiate and professional team logos. Other Fathead offerings include Action
Sports, the NBA, NHL, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit
models, Star Wars, Spider-Man, Family Guy and The Simpsons.

Fathead
