Glowpoint Signs Broadcast Sector Contract Worth More Than $240,000 Annually

Glowpoint,
Inc., a premiere broadcast-quality, IP-based managed video services
provider, announced that it has secured a deal with a major sports network to
install Glowpoint services, marketed as Team-CamHD, at 11 colleges around the
country and in the broadcaster’s head-end studio in

Chicago. The services include the deployment
of Glowpoint’s quality network connectivity along with a full range of managed
video services. The sports network will leverage Glowpoint’s service in order
to do interviews with coaches and players for the upcoming college sports
season. In addition to covering football, the network will be able to add
coverage for college sports that normally get minimal TV coverage, commonly
referred to as “Olympic Sports.”

“Glowpoint
will now be deployed at more than 25 colleges, providing unparalleled access to
coaches and players from a wide array of college sports,” said Mike Brandofino,
Glowpoint’s president and CEO. “While this recent win is focused on college
football, Glowpoint’s high-quality, cost-effective services have made it
possible for broadcasters to cover all types of lower-profile sports.”

“As a
company, we continue to see revenue growth from the broadcast sector due to the
addition of new customers, as well as an increase in deployments by existing
customers,” Brandofino said.

Glowpoint
provides IP-based broadcast solutions for national networks and cable TV
providers to enable on-demand content acquisition from fixed remote locations.
Glowpoint’s “always on,” exclusive video network connectivity reduces transport
costs by up to 80 percent as compared to traditional satellite feeds.
