Adam Freifeld named Director, Communications, NBC Sports

Adam
Freifeld, a veteran of more than 20 years in the television business including
six years in communications at ABC Sports, has been named Director, Communications, NBC
Sports. He begins his duties immediately. The announcement was made today by
Mike McCarley, Vice President, Strategic Marketing, Promotion and
Communications, NBC Universal Sports & Olympics.

“Adam is a consummate professional who
values strong relationships, is service-oriented and has a great reputation
with members of the media,” McCarley said. “He brings a wealth of
experience to this position and is a welcome addition to the NBC Sports
team.”

Freifeld comes to NBC Sports with nearly a decade of experience in network
media and public relations. Prior to joining NBC Sports, Freifeld spent
the last two years as a media publicity consultant with AMF Communications,
which he founded in October, 2005. Among Freifeld’s clients were Van Wagner Sports
Group, HBO Sports and NBC Sports Digital.

From 1999-2005, Freifeld served as the Senior Publicist for ABC Sports where
among his responsibilities were generating and implementing publicity campaigns
for two Super Bowls, “Monday Night Football,” Golf, Little League
World Series, World Cup, Triple Crown, World and U.S. Figure Skating
Championships and many other programs.

Prior to his time at ABC Sports, Freifeld worked as both an agent and a
consultant for broadcasters with Athletes and Artists, J. Michael Bloom and Don
Fitzpatrick and Associates.
