Chyron demonstrating graphics systems and interfuse at IBC

Chyron
Corporation is demonstrating its three new graphics systems and interFuse
workflow solution, to the European broadcast market. Chyron Corporation is also
unveiling its plans for an order management interface that will significantly
expand the company’s graphics solutions for creation, management and playout.

Already
being adopted by major broadcasters including Sky Sports News and Canal+
France, the HyperX2 is the new crown jewel in Chyron’s graphics system line,
replacing the high-performance HyperX as the premier HD/SD graphics creation
and playout engine.

The LEX2,
which has been purchased by European broadcasters including

France 3,
replaces the LEX, LX and HX200, providing advanced features and scalability to
HD. Both systems support Chyron’s outstanding new advanced creation and playout
software option, Lyric PRO 7, driven by Chyron’s new breakthrough interFuse
Technology.

An
adaptable workflow solution for news, sports, election coverage, entertainment
and education, interFuse combines all of Chyron’s existing products into a
flexible, interoperable solution that will provide clients with an adaptable,
scalable and reliable workflow package for all industry segments. Integrating
Adobe’s Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP), interFuse technology further enhances Chyron’s
reputation as an integrated, high-performance, graphics solutions provider.

SOLO2
provides broadcasters with a graphics system-in-a-briefcase, a perfect solution
for networks, truck companies, rental houses and freelancers, who require a
fast, available graphics channel on-site at the live video source. The system
includes a single, HD/SD-switchable channel with digital keyer and SVGA preview
that can run Lyric, Lyric PRO (optional), CAL (Chyron Abstraction Layer) and
Chyron’s new full-featured LEIF API, also making it an ideal development
platform.

Michael
Wellesley-Wesley, Chyron CEO commented, “These three new systems and
interFuse technology workflow further highlight Chyron as the leading provider
of integrated graphics solutions. Chyron can provide a fully compliant chain
that begins with a mobile phone video clip shot by a citizen journalist right
through to the viewer watching that same clip in his living room with sophisticated
live on air graphics.

Chyron’s
classic HyperX, LEX, LX and HX200 systems will continue to

be available.

Chyron’s
Order Management System (OMS), part of the company’s interFuse technology
workflow package, extends functionality in the CAMIO graphics management
system. The new OMS is a natural extension to the previous integration with Proximity’s
Xenotrack and Artbox systems. OMS is the next chapter in interFuse, Chyron’s
new vision of a seamlessly integrated graphics workflow environment.

Chyron’s
OMS allows users to order graphics from a simple GUI in their newsroom client
or any web browser. Users can track the status of their order, add comments,
fulfill orders, verify the fulfilled asset is appropriate as well as reject
work if it doesn’t fit the requirements, all from within this same intuitive GUI. OMS offers a completely
flexible architecture to enable the status flow at each installation to be
customized to the specific newsroom workflow requirements. Chyron’s OMS
offering is also Adobe Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP) aware.

Michael Wellesley-Wesley, commented,
“Order Management is the next evolution of our CAMIO Asset Management
product. Incorporating our OMS into a CAMIO newsroom environment gives producers
all the graphic tools they need at their fingertips all within the Chyron
Product line. We are very excited about this new chapter and will continue to
implement features that the marketplace requires to expand audience demographics,
decrease costs, increase revenue and develop new business opportunities.”
