Ensequence Launches Interactive TV Software and Services for Mobile Devices

Today at
IBC2007, Ensequence, the interactive TV company, announced that programmers,
advertisers and operators can now offer their viewers highly personalized, intuitive and engaging interactive TV viewing experiences for mobile devices
with Ensequence on-Q software and services. The Ensequence on-Q Create suite
speeds the process of creating, managing and delivering mobile interactive TV
applications, including weather reports, sports casts, news, movie guides,
voting applications and m-commerce.

With
support for mobile devices, Ensequence now offers the most cost-effective and
comprehensive way to reach viewers with interactive TV on all digital
platforms. These include cable, satellite, broadband, IPTV, digital
terrestrial, Blu-ray and mobile devices.

To support
its commitment to enabling interactive TV on mobile devices, Ensequence has
hired Max Spinelli as director of business development for mobile. Spinelli
will represent Ensequence with mobile operators and work closely with content
owners and advertisers on the deployment of interactive mobile TV content.
Spinelli has an extensive

background in the mobile industry, including experience developing and launching
in-mobile entertainment applications, content distribution platforms, mobile
messaging and location-based services.

“Programmers
advertisers and operators are seeking ways to deliver innovative interactive TV
applications that reach and resonate with elusive viewers in today’s converging
communications and entertainment world,” said Dalen Harrison, Ensequence
CEO. “Our commitment to supporting interactive TV applications on mobile
devices will help our customers reach and engage with their viewers in new
ways.”

“Globally,
we’re seeing tremendous interest and growth in the mobile TV marketplace. By
2010, the total number of handsets sold with mobile TV broadcast capability
will eclipse 130 million. All major mobile operators have launched some form of
mobile TV services, enabling customers to watch short-form content, music,
news, and sports updates on the go,” said Chetan Sharma, president of
Chetan Sharma Consulting. “For programmers and advertisers, an interactive
TV strategy is a key component to offering mobile content and is becoming
increasingly important as the Internet, DVD interfaces, electronic program
guides and DVRs have made interactive TV an expectation for consumers when it comes
to enjoying TV content.”

Applications
authored with the on-Q Create suite support WCDMA and EVDO and are DVB-H ready
for a richer and compelling interactive TV experience. In addition to its latest
mobile technology, Ensequence will also demonstrate its interactive TV applications
for cable, satellite, broadband and Blu-ray at IBC in

Amsterdam September 7-11, 2007 at stand 5.301.
