Broadcast Veteran Keith Pelley Appointed President of 2010/2012 Olympic Coverage

CTV Inc.,
together with Rogers Media Inc., announced the appointment of Keith
Pelley, one of
Canada’s most
respected sports broadcast veterans, as President of the consortium that will
build and lead the strategic plan for coverage of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games
in Vancouver/Whistler and 2012 Olympic Summer Games in

London. The appointment becomes
effective following the 2007 Grey Cup.

The announcement marks the first step in the creation of the CTV-Rogers Olympic
consortium. In his new role, Pelley will be responsible for building the
organization, overseeing its day-to-day operations, the complete sales and
marketing initiatives surrounding the Games, and creating the multi-platform
Olympic coverage plan which includes all facets of production, scheduling and
the recruitment of on-air talent.

Pelley has excelled in the sports and sports broadcasting industries for 21 years, most
recently as President and CEO of the Toronto Argonauts, where under his
leadership, the team won a Grey Cup in his first full year with the
organization (2004). Prior to that, Pelley was President of TSN, capping
a 16-year tenure at

Canada’s leading specialty network. Throughout his career, Pelley has worked
extensively with amateur sports, including involvement in three Olympic Games:
2002 in Salt Lake City, 2000 in Sydney and 1996 in Atlanta. (See “About Keith Pelley” below.)

“Keith is the perfect choice to build and lead a winning Olympic team that will
deliver unprecedented choice and coverage for the Games of 2010 and 2012,”
said Ivan Fecan, President and Chief Executive Officer of CTVglobemedia and CEO
of CTV Inc.

“The Olympic Games are the pinnacle of sports and sports broadcasting. The
magnitude of the coverage planned by CTV and Rogers is revolutionary and one of
the largest endeavours in Canadian television. I am truly honoured and
excited to lead the charge,” said Pelley. “I have worked with
so many talented individuals throughout my career and feel very fortunate to
have spent the last four years with a first-class organization like the Toronto
Argonauts, run by two first-class individuals who have resurrected the brand in
this city.”

“As a past President of TSN, we’re obviously very familiar with the kind of skill-set
Keith brings to this company and I’m personally delighted to have him back on
our team,” said Rick Brace, President, CTV Inc. “His track record,
leadership, passion and instinct have been evident throughout his 20-plus-year
career. We look forward to building towards 2010 with Keith at the helm.”

“Rogers Media looks forward to working with Keith on our Olympic coverage on Rogers
Sportsnet, OMNI, and the Rogers radio group,” said Tony Viner, President and CEO, Rogers Media.
“Keith will lead a talented group of broadcasting professionals from both Rogers and CTV.”

In February 2005, CTVglobemedia and Rogers Media Inc. earned the Canadian
broadcast rights for the 2010 and 2012 Games and announced wall-to-wall plans
for more than 4,000 hours of coverage across multiple platforms; the most
comprehensive Olympic coverage ever for Canadians.
