Flames games to air on WYEC 93.9 FM

The Quad
City Flames announced today that all 80 Flames regular games and all playoff
appearances will air on the team’s new flagship station, WYEC 93.9 FM. A weekly
talk show will also air on WYEC beginning on September 24th. WYEC will be
increasing their coverage area later this month to include the Quad Cities and
surrounding areas thus adding to the over 100,000 people they cover.

“Our
fans have asked for this for a long time and the timing was finally right to
make the move to an FM signal,” said Flames President Tim Taylor.
“This will allow all of our fans in the Quad Cities and many outlying
areas to enjoy our games on the radio. WYEC and the Regional Radio Group have
been great partners already, and we look forward to building our
relationship.”

“We’re
excited to be a part of the Quad City Flames inaugural season,” said
Fletcher Ford, the General Sales Manager of Regional Radio Group, owners of
seven radio stations, and two online newspapers including, WYEC, WKEI, WJRE,
WGEN, and tricountydailynews.com. “We are pleased to offer the team a FM
home during our launch in the

Quad

City area. The
partnership with the Flames will certainly increase our exposure throughout the
greater

Quad
City area, all while increasing the
listenership of Flames hockey on the radio. With our increased coverage,
beginning at the end of the month, this partnership will benefit the Flames all
while bringing WYEC fans to the Flames and Flames fans to WYEC.”

Aaron Roof
will serve as the Flames broadcaster as the team embarks on its first season.
Each Flames broadcast during the 2007-08 season will be preceded by the
Hayman’s Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show beginning 25 minutes prior to face-off.
After the game, the Kinetic Fitness Post-Game Show will air.

The Flames
weekly radio show will be broadcast on Monday nights at 6 p.m. Flames players
and coaches will join Roof for the hour-long program from The Blackbear Lounge
at The Lodge. The first edition of the Flames Radio Show will coincide with the
team’s mascot unveiling on September 24th at The Lodge.

games, and the weekly talk show, can also be heard on-line at qcflames.com. The
b2 Network will continue to offer fans the option to watch games live via
