TSN Announces 2007/08 Raptors Broadcast Schedule

TSN
returns to the hardwood for the 2007/08 season, as the network today unveiled
its NBA national broadcast package, which features 21 Toronto Raptors regular season
games, NBA All-Star Saturday Night from
New
Orleans, a minimum of 17 Playoff games, plus exclusive
Canadian coverage of the NBA Finals. All games are available in High
Definition on TSN HD.
TSN’s
coverage gets underway November 6 with
Toronto
@ Milwaukee at 8 p.m. ET. Highlights of TSN’s 21-game Raptors broadcast
schedule feature 16 Eastern Conference match-ups, including four games against
Atlantic Division rivals –
New York (two),
Philadelphia and
New
Jersey. (See broadcast schedule below)
Additional
highlights include:
One game against two-time NBA MVP and
Vancouver
native Steve Nash, as the Raptors host the Suns on Dec. 5
Two games featuring NBA Superstar LeBron James and the Cavaliers (Nov. 30 and
March 21)
A match-up against Tim Duncan and the 2006/07 NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs
(Feb. 11)
NBA All-Star Saturday Night, including the gravity-defying Slam Dunk Contest (Feb.
16)
TSN’s Rod
Black will host the network’s NBA studio show. Black will be on-site at
Air Canada Centre for Raptors home games and will anchor the show from the TSN
Studio during away games. Chuck Swirsky will once again call the
play-by-play with Leo Rautins as game analyst.
TSN is
coming off a successful NBA regular season in which the network delivered a
national per-game average audience of 154,000 viewers – a 29 per cent increase
over last season and the third-most watched NBA season ever on TSN.
TSN has
been televising Raptors basketball since the 1997/98 season.
