SVG D-Sports Conference Looks At Broadband and Beyond!

The SVG will host a special one-day conference featuring top executives from across the spectrum of the “new media” market in New York City on Oct. 24. The one-day event promises to inform and engage as leading thinkers and technology providers discuss the future of the sports industry. “Having leaders like Perkins Miller SVP from NBC Sports Digital Media and Dick Anderson, IBM GM Global Media and Entertainment, keynote the event is reason enough to attend but the wide range of experts on the panels makes it one of the must-attend events in New York,” says Ken Kerschbaumer, SVG editorial director.

Panel topics include a look at how to optimize the production process broadband and mobile video distribution, sorting through the wide array of content distribution network options, and driving new media revenues.

Panelists include Joe Inzerillo, MLB.com SVP, Multimedia and Distribution, Clark Pierce, Fox Sports VP Emerging Technology, and Richard Buchanan Comcast Media Center VP of Operations. Executives from You Tube, Yahoo!, Apple, Avid, CBS Sports, Level 3 Communications, Sony Electronics and Sprint will also be on hand.

The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with Millers’ keynote and concludes at 4:45 p.m. It will be held in conjunction with the New York Post Production conference at the AMC Theater on 34th Street and 8th Avenue.
