Sony OLED Screen To Hit Japan in December

When Sony demonstrated its OLED ultra-thin flat TV at CES it turned the
head of SVG and leading companies like NMT and the YES Network (not to
mention Sony execs). Why? Because the 11-inch screens are only 3 mm
thick and would be ideal for mobile production vehicles and other tight
Master Control quarters. And now Reuters is reporting that Sony will
launch an ultra-thin flat TV
based on the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology on Dec. 1
in Japan, bringing a new contender to a $82 billion market dominated by
LCD and plasma TVs. Price? $1,740.
