IZOD Center to Be New Name of Meadowlands Arena

Phillips-Van
Heusen Corporation announced that it has been awarded the naming rights to the
sports, concert and family entertainment facility currently known as
Continental Airlines Arena. The Arena, which will be renamed “IZOD Center,” is
located in East Rutherford, New Jersey and is operated by the New Jersey Sports
& Exposition Authority (NJSEA).

The NJSEA,
together with its designated agent, Nets Sports and Entertainment, LLC, oversaw
the bidding process that resulted in the award of the rights to PVH. The

IZOD
Center
will make its official debut on the night of October 31, 2007, when the Nets
open their 2007-2008 season against the Chicago Bulls.

In
addition to being home to the NBA’s Nets, the soon-to-be

IZOD
Center
hosts hundreds of different events. It is considered one of the top concert
venues in the country, with Bruce Springsteen being a frequent performer. Other
artists that have performed at the Arena include Billy Joel, Elton John,
Madonna, U2, Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, Bon Jovi, and Eminem. Van Halen, which
is on a national concert tour throughout the
U.S.
and

Canada
with its original lead singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 22 years,
will be the first to perform at the re-named arena. The Arena is also a premier
venue for family shows, including Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters, Sesame
Street Live, Champions On Ice and the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey
Circus, as well as the site of numerous corporate events.

Arena staff will also be outfitted in event-appropriate IZOD brand apparel
specially logoed for the Arena.

“We look
forward to our new partnership with PVH,” said NJSEA Chairman Carl Goldberg. “It
is a strong, financially stable company that offers, through IZOD, a brand that
appeals to the broad range of consumers we want to attract to the

IZOD
Center.
PVH’s in-house marketing and advertising team demonstrated through its IZOD
advertising campaigns and its vision for the

IZOD
Center
that it understood how to best promote the building and its array of events and
the team’s ability to carry out that vision.”

“We are
extremely excited to have secured the naming rights opportunity to the
Meadowlands Arena and are committed to enhancing its visibility and prestige
locally and nationally as a premier sports, concert and family-entertainment
venue,” said Allen Sirkin, President and Chief Operating Officer of PVH. “We
are thrilled to have this opportunity in our own backyard and believe our IZOD
brand is the perfect brand to promote the Arena and its programming. We thank
the NJSEA, Nets Sports and Entertainment, and the Governor’s Office for having
the faith in us, our brand and our marketing team, as well as our vision for
the

IZOD
Center, to carry the building through
its next stage of history.”

“PVH
demonstrated to the NJSEA an impressive activation platform to help refresh and
rebrand the Arena and we believe both the IZOD brand and the

IZOD
Center
will greatly benefit from the building’s close proximity to the fashion capital
of the world and the planned Xanadu development,” said Brett Yormark, President
and CEO, Nets Sports and Entertainment, LLC.
