Leafs Return to the Big Screen at Cineplex Entertainment

Cineplex Entertainment
and the Toronto Maple Leafs are pleased to announce the return of Leafs games
on the big screen at 26 participating theatre locations in the Greater Toronto
Area and

Ontario.

“Showing
the Toronto Maple Leafs games exclusively at our theatres last year was a great
idea that Leafs fans loved and we’re excited to have more than doubled this
season’s games from seven to 19,” says Pat Marshall, Vice President
Communications and Investor Relations for Cineplex Entertainment. “New
this year is the opportunity to purchase tickets in three or five packs at a
discount to secure your seats in advance to the hottest big screen
hockey.”

The Leafs
TV-Cineplex Entertainment season begins October 11, when the Leafs face off
against the New York Islanders. Leafs fans can cheer for their favorite team
while watching the game on Cineplex Entertainment’s giant wall-to-wall curved
screens in Dolby Digital Surround Sound and in High Definition Television (HDTV).

“Our
partnership with Cineplex Entertainment has been tremendously successful mainly
because of the authentic experience we’ve created for Leafs fans in a theatre
environment,” says Chris Hebb, Senior Vice-President of Broadcast and
Content for Leafs TV. “The High-Definition broadcast will have fans
feeling as though they are sitting rinkside at Air Canada Centre.”

Hebb adds
that people want to consume sports in different ways and the emergence of new
mediums such as watching hockey games in the theatre enables Leafs fans to
experience hockey in a non-traditional forum.

Fans in
attendance at Cineplex Entertainment theatres will also be treated to the
ultimate fan experience with Leafs alumni and mascot appearances, prizes,
trivia and giveaways at select theatres.

For $10.95
a ticket or less, family and friends can spend an affordable night out together
watching the games. Advance tickets are available immediately online at
www.cineplex.com as well as at participating theatre box offices. Admission for
children ages 3 – 12 is $8.95 + tax and general admission is $10.95 + tax. New
this year, guests can also purchase tickets to any three games for $31.20 + tax
or any five games for $49.25 + tax making this a great gift for the holiday
season!

Community
involvement is a core value of the Leafs and its American Hockey League
affiliate the Toronto Marlies. It is also an important component in how
Cineplex Entertainment operates its theatres. As a result, proceeds from every
Leafs game ticket sold in Cineplex Entertainment theatres will be used to
provide underprivileged children a fun, exciting sports experience with an
opportunity to attend a Marlies game.

All 19 Leafs
games shown in Cineplex Entertainment theatres will be Leafs TV broadcasts.
Leafs TV is the official station of Leafs Nation and the hockey fan’s number
one source for the latest team news and information with favourite programs
such as Leafs Today, Game Day, broadcast an hour before each game and After The
Horn.
