2007 MLB World Series Schedule on ESPN Radio

ESPN
Radio’s season-long Major League Baseball coverage will culminate with live
broadcasts of each World Series game, beginning with Game 1 when Matt Holliday
and the Colorado Rockies visit David Ortiz and the Boston Red Sox Wednesday,
Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. ET. Jon Miller (who has called every ESPN Radio World Series
broadcast) will call the Fall Classic with analyst Joe Morgan (working his
eighth straight World Series), while Jon Sciambi, analyst Dave Campbell and
reporter Peter Pascarelli will contribute to pre- and post-game broadcasts.
ESPN Radio broadcasts MLB coverage to more than 350 full-time affiliates. ESPN

Additionally,
ESPN’s Baseball Tonight will originate live from the game sites, providing
highlights, news and information with post-game shows. Karl Ravech will host
with analysts John Kruk, Steve Phillips and Dusty Baker. Baseball Tonight
commentators, including reporters Peter Gammons, Tim Kurkjian (reporting on the
Red Sox) and Pedro Gomez (reporting on the Rockies), will also contribute to
SportsCenter’s daily pre-and post-game World Series coverage featuring
interviews and team news conferences. Chris Berman will anchor SportsCenter’s
coverage Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 24-25.

Baseball
Tonight will present a World Series Special breaking down the main storylines
and highlighting key players Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. (re-airing at 10 p.m.)
on ESPN2. Ravech will host with analysts Kruk, Phillips and Baker and reporters
Gammons and Kurkjian. Additional topics will include the
Rockies’
historic run, unforgettable moments in 2007 and predictions. Following the
World Series Special will be the Best of Baseball Tonight Web Gem Awards, in
which Ravech, Kruk and Phillips will review the most spectacular defensive
plays from the 2007 season including the “Best of the Best,”
position-by-position awards, and the Top 10 Web Gems of the Year.

For the
fourth consecutive year, ESPN Deportes Radio will offer exclusive
Spanish-language World Series broadcasts, beginning with Game 1 – when the
Boston Red Sox host the Colorado Rockies Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. Jaime
Jarr n, a Hall of Fame broadcaster and long-time radio voice of the Los Angeles
Dodgers’ Spanish-language broadcasts, will be joined by analyst and Hall of
Fame pitcher Juan Marichal and Eduardo Ortega, who regularly provides analysis
during San Diego Padres games. Renato Bermudez will serve as field reporter.
