Omega Mission Hills World Cup powered by Cisco technlogy

Mission
Hills proudly presents Cisco as a premier sponsor of the 2007 Omega Mission
Hills World Cup to be held from Nov. 22 to 25. Cisco is providing an advanced
technology infrastructure for the golf championship tournament, with 28 teams
competing “For the Honor” of their nations. The World Cup is also
known as the “Olympics of Golf” by many players and is one of the top
prestige golf events on the international calendar.

A robust,
highly secure and high-speed technology backbone is instrumental to the
successful staging of any major golf tournament. Cisco’s tailored solution for
the Omega Mission Hills World Cup involves comprehensive consultancy, network
design and holistic support.

The
resilient infrastructure across Mission Hills’ facilities includes a converged
Internet Protocol (IP) network that Cisco is providing for the Omega Mission
Hills World Cup and beyond, as well as comprehensive data center solutions
offering highly secure access and control of the network. To provide an
Internet-surfing experience that adds to the convenience of guests and visitors
during the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, Cisco is also offering a wireless
solution with industry-leading security features for Mission Hills’ media
centre. The solution will be extended to clubhouses, hotels and the
administration building after the tournament.

Of
particular note, Cisco will provide a TelePresence solution during the Omega
Mission Hills World Cup for both Mission Hills’ clubhouses in Dongguan and
Shenzhen. Guests, visitors, media and participants from around the world will
benefit from the unparalleled meeting and communications experiences brought by
this innovative technology.

The Cisco
TelePresence Meeting solution is a new category of products that create live,
“face-to-face” meeting experiences over an Internet Protocol (IP)
network empowering users to interact and collaborate in ways they could not
before. Cisco TelePresence represents the industry’s only virtual meeting
solution capable of delivering 1080p high-definition life-size images, spatial
audio, and plug-and-play collaborative tools.

“We
see greater efficiency, resilience and operational strength in the Cisco
Connected Real Estate solution framework and networking infrastructure,”
said Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman and chief executive officer, Mission
Hills. “I am confident that the deployment of Cisco’s technology will not
only contribute to the success of the 2007 Omega Mission Hills World Cup, but
also help transform our IT architecture into a more substantial one in the long
run.”

“We
are delighted to collaborate with Mission Hills to revamp and enhance the
networking infrastructure for this paramount golf event. Mission Hills’ choice
of our network and services aptly testifies to the reliability, integrated
security and efficiency that our networking platform offers,” said Ferry
Chung, managing director, Integrated Solutions Group, Cisco Asia Pacific.
